| These are the questions most frequently asked. I can answer some in very little space, others require a lot of explanation. These questions are linked to a seperate page. Hope this helps. Jack Cutler | ||||||
| Q. How do I know you don't make extra prints or show my pictures ?
A. First of all we are not stupid. We guarantee confidentiality and we mean it. My employees would prefer keeping their jobs to showing of a few nudies, and I really hate lawsuits! Why steal your work when I shoot my own. . . VERY WELL ! Bottom line, it isn't worth violating a clients trust or worth the risk. |

| Q. Can you guarantee my pictures will not get lost in the mail?
A. You must be joking! I wish we could, but death and taxes are the only guarantees in life. We have had only 2 orders "lost" in 9 years, and they turned up at the client after a few weeks. If you need to trace a shipment and want some verifiable tracking, I suggest the FedEx route. |

| Q. What are the limits of what you will print ?
A. If the subjects are over 18 years of age, we have no problem processing & printing the work. It is a matter of consenting adults. BUT. . . We do not have any and I mean any tolerance for child abuse or animal cruelty. We have even less tolerance for kiddie porn. We have and will continue to report any child pornography to the police. |

| Q. I have taken a few pictures of my kids in the bathtub...nothing is showing will you print those?
A. Yes we will. It is very easy after 30 years in the photo and fashion business to tell the difference between kiddie porn and the " baby on the bearskin rug" picture. Now if there are rolls of a child in a tub and his/her genitals are showing and/or the child is playing with something other than a rubber duckie that spells trouble. |

| Q. We are naturalists (nudists) and vacation with our children at naturalist's resorts. Is there a problem with these images?
A. No, once again we can tell the difference between kiddie porn and nudists. But there better be some images of mom & dad on the roll as well, and they better be nude. Naturalists do not photograph their children in suggestive poses (read, spread shots) |

| Q. My model looks very young but is definitely over 18 what do I do?
A. Easy question. To cover your rear end, take one or two pictures of the model with his/her drivers license. Keep the print and negative in a file with the model consent and release form. Now we have no reason to question and you have proof that the model represented that she was over 18, just in case she used a fake ID. |

Q. What is a Giclee Print?
A. Giclee (zhee-CLAY) prints are individually produced, high-resolution, high-fidelity reproductions done on a special large format printer. Giclees are produced from digital scans of existing artwork, chromes (slides) or negatives. This creates a whole new vibrant medium for prints from slides, expectional quality and detail in both color & black & white enlargements Giclees can be printed on any number of media, from canvas to watercolor paper to transparent acetates. Giclees are superior to traditional lithography in several ways. The colors are brighter, last longer, and are so high-resolution that they are virtually continuous tone, rather than tiny dots. The range, or "gamut" of color for giclees is far beyond that of lithography, but certain shades especially some Reds may fall out of range. Giclees use inkjet technology, but far more sophisticated and expensive than any desktop printer, with lightfast inks and finer, more numerous, replaceable printheads, a wider color gamut, and the ability to use various media to print on. In addition all our Giclees are museum grade, archival quality prints. Giclees were originally developed to be a proofing system for lithograph presses, but presses had difficulty matching the quality and color of the giclee proofs. They evolved into the new sweetheart of the photo/art world. They are coveted by collectors, and desired by galleries because they are not produced in huge quantities! All Giclees are produced directly from a master digital file which we create at my lab, DCC Photo & Digital Imaging, so I we complete control of the entire process. As and added plus, retouching and enhancing is much easier than with an convential process. |
